Staying safe

Bladed tools are sold 18+ and in person only. Don't ask for them to be posted.
See it, and see it working, before you pay. Meet somewhere sensible.
Check the serial plate matches, and ask for its history (a TER check, or CESAR markings) before you pay.

Buying a chainsaw?

Is it genuine? Copies are sold with real brand badges. Look for the metal serial plate, usually near the front of the saw, and check its number matches the seller's receipt. A missing or drilled-out plate, or a professional saw at a budget price, is a warning sign. If you think a listing is a fake, report it.
