Public: anyone can read your question and the replies. The seller is told. For questions about the item, not reviews of the seller.

Staying safe

See it, and see it working, before you pay. Meet somewhere sensible.
Check the serial plate matches, and ask for its history (a TER check, or CESAR markings) before you pay.
Ask the seller for the serial or PIN number and check it with TER, The Equipment Register (ter-europe.org). It shows whether plant or equipment is registered as stolen or has finance on it. TER may charge for a check. If you think something is stolen, don't buy it: report it to the police on 101 and to us.
